Metal & Ceramic Braces

Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces and they are smaller and more comfortable today than any other time in the history of orthodontics. Metal braces are made of high-grade stainless steel. They straighten your teeth by using a resin bonding agent which is applied to the metal bracket and your teeth. A nickel titanium or stainless steel archwire is then attached to the braces which allows movement of your teeth. With metal braces, you have the choice of adding many different colored elastics (O ring's) to your braces for a more colorful smile.
These colors may be changed at every visit.

Clear braces are made of a ceramic material and are much less visible on your teeth than traditional metal braces. Typically, these braces are reserved mainly for teens and adults; however, anyone can use them for their orthodontic treatment. These braces are placed on the teeth in the same manner as metal braces, but a white wire is used in the treatment so as to be more visually appealing to you. The latest technology allows these clear brackets to be virtually invisible. They are approximately the same size as traditional metal braces.
